Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last week: There were too few comparable sales on steer and heifer calves to determine a trend, however; a much lower undertone was noted following a lesser demand. the bigger end of the steers though me with higher prices and greater demand. Feeder steers weighing 700-750 brought 5.50 higher. Feeder heifers didn't fare as well, as sentiment was lower overall. Average to high yielding boner cows sold 3.00-9.00 lower and slaughter bulls remained steady. Trade was moderate to steady, dependent on class of cattle.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
