As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder steers and heifers traded mostly steady to weak, with the exception of the thin fleshed cattle which traded with a much higher undertone. Buyer demand was good, on moderate to good trading activity. Buyers were somewhat hesitant, as the corn board continues to show large daily gains. However, they would reach out and bid on cattle with good weigh ups from reputable programs. Quality was very attractive. A winter storm moved across the Panhandle over the weekend bringing as much as 5-6 inches of snow in some areas. According to the US Drought Monitor, slight drought category improvements have been noticed across the region.
