As filed

Compared to last week: Steers and heifers traded 1.00 to 4.00 higher across all classes. Slaughter cows and bulls were too lightly tested for a market trend. Trading activity was moderate to active on good buyer demand. Warmer temperatures have returned to the region after last weeks winter storm. According to the US Drought Monitor, 3 months ago less than 1 percent of the state was classified in the Extreme to Exceptional drought category, but as of last week nearly 24 percent of the state is now classified in those categories. The majority of the Panhandle needs more moisture to replenish pastures.
