As filed

Compared to last week: Steers traded mostly steady on a light test. All classes of heifers traded mostly 5.00 to 10.00 higher with larger advances noted on lighter weights. Trading activity was moderate to active on good buyer demand. Slaughter cows and bulls traded mostly steady. Hot and dry conditions continue to dominate the forecast, with the US Drought Monitor reporting temperatures to be 5 to 9 degrees above average for this time of year. Additionally, the US Drought Monitor shows the past 30 days brought less than half of normal rain to most locations in the Texas Panhandle.
