Compared to last week, a very light offering of feeder cattle this week had very few comparisons with last week's special, mostly new crop fleshy calves or unweaned calves selling in small groups and singles. Slaughter cows on a very good offering sold firm to 2.00 higher with a nice offering of slaughter cattle trading steady to firm with last week's sale. Fed cattle trade this week was mostly steady to 2.00 lower from 118.00-120.00 with Choice boxed-beef closing Friday at 296.50 up 2.74 and Select 3.26 higher closing at 283.05. Grains had a good week of trading specially May corn closing the week near 85 cents higher at 7.40.
