Compared to last week: Numbers were down compared to the big runs the last two weeks, largely due to the extreme cold temperatures throughout the area. Prices still remain strong and quality cattle made the trip to town. Steer and heifer calves remained steady to slightly higher. Feeders fared better this week with steers gaining 6.00-9.00 and heifers 6.00-7.00. Heavier #600 of both steer and heifers being in greater demand. There was little test on high yielding slaughter cattle, but a lower undertone was noted. Trade was active on good demand.
