A much lighter offering than last week with best test on steers 800 to 850 lbs and 901 to 950 lbs 4.00 to 5.00 lower with instances up to 8.00 lower on 800 to 850 lbs, 851 to 900 lbs mostly steady. Best test on heifers 600 to 700 lbs 3.00 to 4.00 lower. Moderate to good demand for today's offering of one string of steers and the balance of the offering selling in mostly packages. Quality less attractive than last week with many plain to average quality cattle today. Flesh varied, from moderate to some heavy. A moderate market with a more limited buyer attendance today. Next feeder cattle sale is next week, May 10. The big annual birthday sale is in two weeks, May 17.
