Compared to last week: steers 450 to 550 and 601 to 650 lbs mostly steady with an instance 10.00 higher on 450 to 500 lbs, 551 to 600 lbs steady to 3.00 lower. Best test on yearling steers 900 to 950 mostly steady. Heifer calves 500 to 550 and 600 to 650 lbs mostly steady with other weight classes of heifers not well compared. Good demand for yearling cattle offered today with best demand for loads. Most of the yearling offering was out of yards in moderate to moderate plus flesh with some heavy flesh. Moderate to good demand for today's large calf offering. Mostly packages of calves today with just a handful of loads. Quality varied , but more plainer cattle than last week, especially on packages. More flesh on the calves this week as well, from light to moderate plus. Once again, preconditioning varied, and calves with no shots or just a 7 way were discounted at times. A moderate to active market for the offering. Warmer weather predicted for the coming week. Producers are very busy trying to harvest corn, most of which is wet and drying is hindered by the shortage of propane right now. Next feeder cattle sale is next Friday, November 22.
