Compared to last week: best test on steers 700 to 750 lbs mostly steady, 751 to 850 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 higher. Too light a test on heifers last week to develop an accurate trend. A large offering for today's annual Birthday Sale. Many strings, loads, and packages of home raised and backgrounded cattle available and met with good to very good demand, especially light cattle and cattle that could go to grass. These cattle have a little more time before finishing and buyers are hoping that the markets will see some improvement by then. Flesh varied, from moderate to heavy, and quality mostly average to attractive. An active market throughout the day with many buyers attending the sale. No sale next Friday due to Memorial Day weekend, the next feeder cattle sale is Friday, May 29.
