Not enough feeder cattle for a market comparison. Slaughter cows and bulls sold steady to 6.00 lower. Cow/calf pairs sold mostly steady to last week. Demand was moderate to good for the short summer supply of cattle. Bulk of the slaughter cows went to slaughter. More than likely cow and pairs will continue to head to town as most of the trade area remains very dry with limited grazing along with tight and expensive hay supplies.

Head, weight ranges, average weights and price ranges are exactly as USDA AMS filed them — nothing recomputed, nothing rounded — in USDA's own reporting structure. This is RaisedBeef's rendering of that data, not a copy of USDA's document.
