Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to the last sale 11/05/20: Limited offerings on a current FOB basis for an accurate trend, however a higher undertone was noted especially for heavier weight feeders. Wheat pasture has been getting better every week and with moisture in the forecast many grazing producers are very aggressive. Demand moderate to good, especially for light weight grazing calves. Most trades were for cattle in the Midwest, few in the Southeast. Much more warmer than average seasonal temperatures are remaining in most of the trade area keeping all grazing pastures in good conditions. Supply included 70 percent from the South Central; 11 percent North Central; 13 percent South East; 6 percent West and 0 percent North East. Current deliveries are cattle that will deliver up to 14 days from the last sale day of the video. Current delivery is through December 03, 2020. Deliveries are current thru March 2021. Next video sale will be on Thursday 12/03/2020.

Source: USDA AMS · Oklahoma City, OK. Prices are as filed, F.O.B. at origin, with the buyer taking freight — they are not comparable to a spot ring price and never enter a barn average. Weights are USDA’s estimates — these cattle had not been weighed when they sold. Delivery months differ between lots; a price for one month is not a price for another. Head is summed from the lots as reported.
