As filed

Compared to the last sale 05/06/21: Feeder steers and heifers sold 2.00-6.00 higher. Steer and heifer calves not well tested on a Current FOB Basis but a higher undertone was noted. Demand good. Heavy rainfall has swept across the Midwest bringing much needed moisture to much of the drought areas. Cooler than average temperatures especially night temps have stunted grazing pastures but the forecast is looking to warm up soon. Receipts included 64 percent from South Central; 12 percent North Central; 15 percent South East; 1 percent North East and 12 Percent West. Current deliveries are cattle that will deliver up to 14 days from the last sale day of the video. Current delivery is up to June 03, 2021. Supply included: 100% Feeder Cattle (58% Steers, 5% Dairy Steers, 35% Heifers, 2% Dairy Heifers). Feeder cattle over 600 lbs was 61%. Feeder Cattle prices FOB based on net weights after a 2-3% pencil shrink or equivalent, with a 4-8 cent slide > 600 lbs and 8-12 cent slide < 600 lbs.

Source: USDA AMS · Oklahoma City, OK. Prices are as filed, F.O.B. at origin, with the buyer taking freight — they are not comparable to a spot ring price and never enter a barn average. Weights are USDA’s estimates — these cattle had not been weighed when they sold. Delivery months differ between lots; a price for one month is not a price for another. Head is summed from the lots as reported.
