As filed

Compared to the last sale on 05/25/23: Most trades last sale were in the South Central region. All classes of feeder cattle and calves traded sharply higher with instances as much as 25.00 higher. Cash fat cattle trade has peeked over the past few weeks as well has the Live and Feeder Cattle contracts on the CME board causing demand to be extremely good. Much needed moisture fell across the Southern plains with spots receiving over 10 inches of rain. Supply also included a few replacement cows and pairs and those either scratched or were passed out. Supply included 62 percent South Central; 26 percent North Central; 7 percent South East; 3 percent North East and 2 percent West. Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the video sale and is up to and including June 22, 2023. Deliveries are current thru January 2024.

Source: USDA AMS · Oklahoma City, OK. Prices are as filed, F.O.B. at origin, with the buyer taking freight — they are not comparable to a spot ring price and never enter a barn average. Weights are USDA’s estimates — these cattle had not been weighed when they sold. Delivery months differ between lots; a price for one month is not a price for another. Head is summed from the lots as reported.
