As filed

Compared to the last sale 09/06-07/23: Feeder steers and heifers in the South Central region sold 3.00-7.00 higher. Bulk of the receipts this sale were for out front Fall weaned calf delivery, however not enough comparable trades for an accurate trend. Demand remains good for all classes, especially Value Added weaned calves. Cooler temperatures and much needed moisture has finally came across much of the Southern Plains bringing drought and heat relief. Supply included: 75 percent from the South Central; 6 percent North Central; 13 percent South East; 6 percent from the West and less than 1 percent from the North East. Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the video sale and is up to and including October 05, 2023. Cattle deliveries are current thru April, 2024

Source: USDA AMS · Oklahoma City, OK. Prices are as filed, F.O.B. at origin, with the buyer taking freight — they are not comparable to a spot ring price and never enter a barn average. Weights are USDA’s estimates — these cattle had not been weighed when they sold. Delivery months differ between lots; a price for one month is not a price for another. Head is summed from the lots as reported.
