Compared to the last sale on 11/02/23: Bulk of the supply again was in the South Central region, few trades of feeder cattle were 8.00-12.00 lower. Sharp declines on both the CME Live and Feeder cattle contracts last week has buyers very cautious. Most all calves were for out front delivery but a higher undertone was noted. Demand light to moderate for feeders, good for grazing calves. Supply included 75 percent from the South Central, 9 percent from the Southeast, less than 1 percent from the Northeast, 12 percent from the West and 5 percent from the Northcentral. Current delivery is 14 days from the last day of the video sale and is up to and including November 30, 2023. Deliveries are Current thru May, 2024.

Source: USDA AMS · Oklahoma City, OK. Prices are as filed, F.O.B. at origin, with the buyer taking freight — they are not comparable to a spot ring price and never enter a barn average. Weights are USDA’s estimates — these cattle had not been weighed when they sold. Delivery months differ between lots; a price for one month is not a price for another. Head is summed from the lots as reported.
