Compared to the last sale on 12/01/23: Feeder steers and heifers were mostly again in the South Central region this sale few Current FOB trades sales were 1.00-4.00 lower. From two weeks ago the CME Live and Feeder cattle contracts have been very erratic causing both traders and buyers to be more cautious. Steer and heifer calves were to lightly tested on a Current FOB basis for a trend, Supply included 77 percent from the South Central and 8 percent from the North Central. 1 percent from the Northeast and 8 percent from the West Current delivery is 14 days from last day of the video sale and is up to and including December 28, 2023. Deliveries are Current thru September, 2024

Source: USDA AMS · Oklahoma City, OK. Prices are as filed, F.O.B. at origin, with the buyer taking freight — they are not comparable to a spot ring price and never enter a barn average. Weights are USDA’s estimates — these cattle had not been weighed when they sold. Delivery months differ between lots; a price for one month is not a price for another. Head is summed from the lots as reported.
