As filed

Compared to last week, steers and heifers traded fully 5.00 to 7.00 higher. Slaughter cows steady to 2.00 higher. Excellent quality all day long and some big strings of cattle gave buyers plenty of opportunity to put some attractive loads together. Very active market with most prices pretty comparable to early January, before the coronavirus scare began and the resulting quick and violent erosion for cattle futures, including sharp losses again Wednesday. Fundamentally the beef sector is showing a lot of positive signals but those factors haven't yet been enough to overcome outside influences. Supply heavy, demand good.
