As filed

Compared to two weeks ago, steers and heifers sold 4.00 to 7.00 higher, except 500-600 lb steers trading with a sharply higher undertone. Slaughter cows 3.00 to 6.00 higher. Demand was very good for grazing cattle, with some steer calves just over 500 lbs in the right condition trading 20.00/cwt over the highs from the last sale. Heifers from 600-700 lbs also generated significantly more interest this week and closed up a bit of that steer to heifer price gap that has grown so wide in recent months. Supply moderate, demand good.
