Reporter comment USDA

As filed

Compared to last Tuesday, a few feeder steers were near steady. Feeder heifers steady to 2.00 higher. Slaughter cows 1.00-2.00 higher. Demand good. Supply light. Friday's Cattle on Feed report produced a bearish placement number as dry conditions in some areas and rising feeder cattle prices put wheels under about 5 percent more feedlot bound cattle than expected.
