As filed

Compared to last week: Feeder cattle were too lightly tested to develop any market trend. Todays sale featured mostly weigh up cows, with a very light offering of feeder cattle. Demand for limited offerings was mostly moderate to good. Weigh up cows sold on mostly good to very good demand for light to moderate offerings. Slaughter cows sold steady to 2.00 lower on boning and lean cows, breaking cows sold generally steady. Packers purchased most of the offering to feed this week and fewer cows for immediate harvest. Cow and bull quality today was very attractive and buyers showed very good demand for high quality cows suitable to feed. Feeding cows sold generally steady, but had many buyers actively bidding on cows for that purpose. Weigh up conditions were mostly average to above average for buyers as most cows have been out on grass and were very empty at sale time. Slaughter bulls sold mostly 1.00-2.00 lower. Young age cows suitable to feed or rebreed sold mostly steady to firm. Quality was average to attractive.
