Compared to last week: best test on steers 550 to 650 lbs mostly steady, 750 to 800 lbs steady to 2.00 lower, other weight classes not well compared. Best test on heifers 550 to 600 lbs mostly steady. Moderate to good demand for today's large offering of many packages and loads with best demand seen for cattle suitable for grass programs and several loads of replacement quality heifers from reputation outfits. Quality varied quite a bit today, from plain to attractive, and most cattle in moderate to moderate plus flesh with some heavy flesh at times. A moderate to active market for this offering with buyers and farmers alike in the seats. Weather predictions for the week are mild temps in the thirties and forties, very nice conditions for feeding and some beginning calving. Next feeder cattle sale is next Friday, February 28.
