Compared to last week: best test on steers 700 to 750 lbs mostly steady, 751 to 850 lbs 2.00 to 3.00 lower. Best test on heifers 550 to 600 lbs and 700 to 750 lbs mostly steady. Moderate to good demand for today's large offering of packages and loads including a couple of strings of back grounded steers. Quality more attractive than last week with most cattle average to attractive in quality. Flesh varied, from light to moderate plus flesh with some heavy flesh at times. Quite a few home raised, hay fed, light fleshed cattle in the offering today. Some cattle carrying some tag as warm temps have pens thawing and getting sloppy. A moderate to active market seen for this offering with another day of losses on the futures putting some pressure on the market. Next feeder cattle sale is Friday, March 13.
