As filed

Compared to last week: Fed steers 3.00 to 5.00 lower, heifers 2.00 to 5.00 lower. Holsteins steady to 4.00 lower. Demand for this nice offering of slaughter cattle was moderate. Buyers were hesitant to start bidding today. Black cattle that would yield higher quality cuts were in biggest demand today. Getting the buyers to start bidding on colored cattle was a struggle. The atmosphere in the seats was pretty quiet and grim today. Sellers looked a little disappointed with the drop in price over the last couple of weeks. We saw several lots of clean, lighter cattle offered today. Some cattle needed a little more time on feed. Most cattle hauled in overnight, making weigh ups good for the buyer. Estimated dressed cost 295.00 - 302.00. CME Live Cattle and Corn both closed a fair amount lower. Slaughter cows steady to 3.00 higher. Bulls 4.00 to 7.00 higher.

Traditional weight slaughter lambs 8.00 to 11.00 higher. Good demand for this eye appealing offering of lambs. Several buyers in the seats, as well as, on the internet. Buck lambs continue to be a hot commodity this week in preparation for the upcoming ethnic holiday. Black faced lambs and ewes are in excellent demand. Another week with a big offering of light weight lambs. 70 lbs - 90 lbs sold with steady undertones this week. Slaughter ewes steady to 5.00 lower.
